My work spans the classroom, the therapy room, and the conference stage. At IUSSW I help train the next generation of MSW practitioners in distance education and emerging tech in clinical care. In private practice, I sit with clients across Indiana and Minnesota navigating change, trauma, and the work of becoming.
Whether I'm lecturing, writing, presenting, or counseling, my through-line is the same: meet people as people first.

Teaching at IUSSW
Full-time teaching faculty at the Indiana University School of Social Work, delivering MSW-level coursework focused on clinical practice, distance education pedagogy, and emerging tech in social work.
Conferences & Workshops
Presented at the CSWE Technology Summit, the Social Work Distance Education Conference, the Institute for Strengthening Families, and other national and regional venues. Available for 60 to 90-minute mental wellness workshops.
Telehealth Counseling
Clinically licensed in Indiana and Minnesota. I draw on CBT, DBT, and mind-body wellness to help clients heal old wounds, break destructive patterns, and navigate major life transitions. Psychology Today profile.

Online education, accessibly delivered
Equitable access to high-quality online social work education can be the difference between dreaming and doing. My work aims to advance the profession through academia, educating both the next generation of MSW practitioners and faculty on best practices in distance education.

Every student brings unique strengths. Grounded in progressivism and humanism, my teaching is student-centered, focused on creating engaging and empowering experiences that respect individual needs and social justice.
